Tour Highlights

The Back by Lunch Tour: Your comfortable coach will set off from Eastbourne seafront, at either The Langham or Lansdowne Hotels, at a bright 9.00 a.m, you will be whisked out of town to enjoy the breath-taking scenery and wonderful views along this dramatic coastline including famous landmarks Beachy Head, Birling Gap and Seaford Head. At each stop, your guide will take you to the best vantage points to take in the stunning white cliffs and features that make the South Downs so very special. In a dramatic change of scene, the tour will then move inland to historic Sussex village, Alfriston, with its smuggling past, where you will find galleries, shops, cafes, pubs and boutiques to explore. From there, we’ll be back onto the Downs at Bo Peep before returning to Eastbourne via the mystical hill figure, Long Man of Wilmington.

The Full Day Out Tour: Setting off from Eastbourne seafront, either The Langham or Lansdowne Hotels, nice and early at 9.00 a.m, you will be whisked out of town as above, and after this the tour drops down to Splash Point in Seaford, to continue your Sussex coast afternoon. A table for lunch will have been reserved for you to enjoy the charm, character and ambience of a traditional Sussex country pub and from there we’ll set off once again and be back onto the Downs at Firle Beacon. From there we will take in a stop at the award winning Middle Farm on our way to the historic village of Alfriston, with its smuggling past, where you will find the ’Cathedral of the Downs’, galleries, shops and boutiques to explore. From there, we will wend our way home under the watchful eye (and two sticks) of the mystical Long man of Wilmington.
